If you’re in Paris this week, make sure you pick up your free copy of A NOUS at your nearest metro stop and turn to page 18! You’ll find a great article on Frog Fight, as well as some photos from yours truly!

Hey everyone!

I just spent the past few hours working on updating my website. Now it’s easier for you to browse! Just click on the links above (Fashion / Beauty, Portraits, etc.) and you’ll be directed to photographs I’ve taken under that category.

Here, on the main page, will be the home of my blog. I’ll post every now and again when cool, new things happen or when I’ve got something I really want to share!

So night one of Paris fashion week turned out to be a hit!

The Smalto show was a lot more impressive than I thought it would be! It was held at Espace Herold and I really enjoyed the space. I thought the clothes were really classic but with a contemporary twist. Anyway, I was really happy with the photographs that I got. More about those later!

During the Smalto show, I met a fellow photographer who had extra invitations for the Henrik Vibskov fashion show. I took him up on the offer and went to photograph. Little did I know that Kanye West and his girlfriend Amber Rose were in town! It was really crazy being in the same room as them, especially because the whole time I was just humming a medley of Kanye tunes… :) What can I say? I’m a fan!
With that being said, the fashion show itself was amazing. The runway was intricate, the clothes were abstract and interesting, and the music created the perfect atmosphere for it all. They created a sort of modern/contemporary abstract art display through the middle of the runway and the models walked very slow (perhaps that’s due to the fact that they had some very interesting, not-so-see-through glasses on?) I was really impressed and enjoyed myself a lot. Oh, the perks of being a photographer sometimes…

Now I have a whole slew of images from the show and am wondering… are you interested in purchasing them? Shoot me an email at caratobe@gmail.com and let me know if that tickles your fancy!

Also keep an eye out on my Flickr account for preview images from Henrik Vibskov!

Ah… Paris fashion week is soon to come! Shows are starting on Thursday and much prep is to be done. I’ve got a small job photographing the Smalto show for a male model magazine that will be published and distributed throughout the world! We’ll see what other shows I can wriggle myself into this time around…

In honor of fashion week, I’m posting some of my images from the Dior Spring/Summer 2010 show. Vive la Paris! Vive la mode!
